PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya residents are facing more unsettled weather, with the Thai Meteorological Department warning of continued rain across Chonburi and nearby coastal areas through September 27.
The latest weather picture issued late on September 24 showed rain continuing to threaten the Pattaya–Sattahip area, with Bang Saray, Sattahip and Koh Khram among the locations on watch.
After several days of persistent rain, residents are being advised to remain prepared, particularly in low-lying areas and places that have already experienced flooding or standing water.
The continuing downpours could affect roads, visibility and travel, while strong winds and rough seas may create additional risks for boats and other marine activities. For Pattaya, the warning comes after repeated flooding in several parts of the city, where drainage systems have been under pressure from prolonged rainfall.
Residents are advised to monitor official weather updates and avoid driving or walking through floodwater where water levels are rising or road conditions cannot be clearly seen. The unsettled conditions are expected to continue through September 27, meaning Pattaya and surrounding communities should remain prepared for more rain over the next several days.
