BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand has launched the “THAI T’REASURES by Amazing Thailand” event to promote fashion tourism by combining traditional Thai textiles, jewelry, and local craftsmanship with contemporary design. TAT Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business Nat Kruthasoot presided over the opening ceremony on September 18 at ICONSIAM in Bangkok. He noted that fashion is a creative medium to showcase Thai identity globally. The initiative seeks to expand Thailand’s soft power by connecting tourists with the communities and local expertise behind regional crafts, positioning the country as a leading fashion tourism destination.

The event runs through September 20 and features interactive exhibitions and a fashion marketplace. The opening day included a performance by artist Chitsanucha Tantimedh and a fashion show featuring eight designer brands: KLOSET, JANESUDA, Painkiller Atelier, RAPEE, Maison Wonder Anatomie, SANGBOON, THITHA, and Made by Hotcake, along with ICONCRAFT and the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association. Attendees can explore an exhibition of ten textile journeys across Thailand and view collaborative prototypes focused on cultural faith, travel wear, and sustainable fashion made from silk waste.

On September 19, runway presentations will feature Warinnaya, Marionsiam, and Clothear, with appearances by actors Pearl Sachakorn and Peak Peemapol. The final day will highlight designs from Thammasat, Silpakorn, Srinakharinwirot, and regional university students, accompanied by contemporary music from COMPASS and Fino the Ranad. TAT expects the initiative will encourage travelers to explore the origins of Thai textiles, craftsmanship, jewelry, and local communities, further strengthening Thailand’s position as a fashion tourism destination.
