PATTAYA, Thailand – Heavy rain swept across Pattaya on Saturday night, continuing for hours and keeping residents and motorists alert as wet conditions persisted into the early hours of Sunday.
Rain began falling across the city at around 8 p.m. on September 19, with residents reporting changing conditions from different parts of Pattaya as the showers continued through the night.
The prolonged rainfall made roads wet and reduced visibility for motorists, while residents kept a close eye on local conditions as the rain continued.
The overnight weather also raised concerns about possible water accumulation in low-lying areas, where prolonged heavy rain can quickly affect roads and drainage. Residents and visitors were advised to take extra care when travelling, particularly on motorcycles, and to monitor local weather and road conditions before setting out.
