NAKHON RATCHASIMA, Thailand – Education Minister Prasert Jantararuangtong has launched a professional development program in Nakhon Ratchasima on September 6 aimed at equipping teachers to become innovators in learning management. The program was organized by the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Office of Learning Encouragement at Starwell Bali Resort. A total of 616 education executives, school administrators, teachers, and personnel participated. Prasert said teachers must move beyond transmitting knowledge to become learning designers who create opportunities for students to develop and apply innovations suited to real-life situations and local contexts.
The Minister stated that technology and artificial intelligence can assist teachers in lesson design, educational material development, learner needs analysis, and personalized learning. He noted that while artificial intelligence is a valuable tool, it cannot replace the essential role of human teachers.
The program seeks to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and skills in innovative thinking. Participants will learn to assess students and local conditions, identify learning challenges, design suitable approaches, and develop practical innovation prototypes. The initiative is expected to improve learning management and support the sustainable professional development of education personnel. (NNT)
