BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s AI Passport has recorded more than 500,000 users, giving the public access to several private-sector AI models through a single government-backed service. The system allows users to try different AI tools without paying for each service separately and provides guidance on which models are better suited to specific tasks. Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaichanok Chidchob explained that AI Passport does not develop the underlying models and that issues such as garbled Thai-language responses or output in another language may depend on the model selected. Available services include Seedance, Nano Banana, Grok, and GPT, each with distinct capabilities and specializations. Users are encouraged to choose models according to the task rather than assume that free or paid services will always perform better.
AI Passport allows users to compare models and determine which ones best suit their needs. Chaichanok has also instructed the development team to replace the basic model currently set as the default with the highest-level option available, allowing users to access a more capable model without manually changing the setting. Users are encouraged to experiment with different models and instruction sets and, where possible, connect information from AI services they have previously used as a knowledge base. (NNT)
