PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya firefighters quickly contained a condominium fire on Soi 15 off Pattaya Second Road on Thursday, Sept 3, after smoke was reported coming from a sixth-floor room. Municipal officers were dispatched to the condominium to facilitate access for fire engines and manage traffic around the scene, helping emergency crews reach the building and carry out their response.

Initial reports indicated that the source of the incident was on the sixth floor. Smoke was found inside a room, but there were no visible flames. The preliminary cause was believed to be an electrical short circuit inside the room. Authorities have not reported any injuries from the incident.

Officials reminded residents and property operators to remain alert to electrical hazards, particularly faulty wiring and overloaded electrical systems, which can quickly lead to fires in residential buildings.
