SAMUT PRAKAN, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand has launched the Eastern Flavor Fest at the Naval Museum in Samut Prakan, running from August 28-30, 2026, to promote green season travel and year-round tourism in Eastern Thailand. TAT Executive Director for the Eastern Region Kanokkittika Kritwutikon presided over the opening ceremony and emphasized event marketing as a driver for regional economic growth. She said that the festival supports the government’s “5 Must Do in Thailand” initiative, providing a comprehensive showcase of Eastern Thailand’s culture and cuisine. Highlights include an immersive light and sound exhibition on the region’s naval history, a Royal Barge Procession simulation, and a water-drop light sculpture previously featured at Vivid Sydney 2025 in Australia.
Visitors can access exclusive travel offers from regional operators and sample local specialties, including Nakhon Nayok pomelo, Samut Prakan coconut ice cream and stretched shrimp, and Chon Buri grilled fish cakes. The event also features cultural performances, live music by leading artists, and the Royal Thai Navy band. This initiative aims to attract high-value tourists, support local communities, and maintain year-round tourism. The festival runs daily from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with free admission.
