
BANGKOK, Thailand – Immigration police arrested two Sri Lankan nationals at Don Mueang International Airport on Aug. 14 after an investigation found they were allegedly involved in multiple immigration violations, including entering or leaving Thailand without proper immigration clearance, staying in the country without permission and possessing or using counterfeit immigration stamps. The arrests were made at around 7:40 p.m. in the international departure hall on the third floor of Terminal 1.
According to immigration authorities, the two suspects are accused of entering or leaving the Kingdom without submitting the required immigration forms or obtaining authorization from immigration officers. They were also allegedly found to have entered or exited Thailand through unauthorized channels or locations. Authorities further allege that the suspects had remained in Thailand without valid permission and possessed and used counterfeit immigration officer stamps, an offense covered under Section 269/13 of the Criminal Code.
Following the arrest, officers took the two suspects to investigators at Don Mueang Police Station for further legal proceedings. The case remains subject to the judicial process, with authorities continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged use of counterfeit immigration stamps and the suspects’ movements in and out of Thailand.
