Annie Strode identifies regular exercise, targeted nutrition and supplementation, quality sleep, stress management, and strong social connection as key foundations for healthy aging, while joint pain, mobility loss, brain fog, low energy, and chronic conditions were among the main obstacles they hoped to overcome.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Annie Strode encouraged members and guests of the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) to take a proactive approach to healthy aging during her presentation, “Aging with Vitality,” on 12 August 2026. Annie opened by asking participants to consider their greatest fears about growing older.

Responses from a pre-talk survey pointed to common concerns including joint pain, loss of mobility, cognitive decline, reduced energy, chronic illness, and visible signs of aging. She said these concerns can be addressed, at least in part, through consistent lifestyle choices.

Annie told the audience that aging with vitality is not about chasing youth, but about maintaining strength, clarity, focus, mobility, and purpose. She emphasized exercise, targeted nutrition, quality sleep, hydration, stress management, sunlight, regular screening, and social connection as important foundations for wellbeing.

Drawing from her own health journey, Annie described earlier experiences with asthma, ulcers, migraines, sinusitis, menstrual pain, and surgery. She said that over time she adopted dietary changes, supplements, exercise, naturopathy, and other wellness practices that shaped her interest in longevity and healthy aging.

A central part of her presentation was a series of “S” habits for aging well. These included strength, stamina, and stability through movement; sunlight, especially low-angle morning or evening light; sleep before midnight; sipping water throughout the day; “sustansia,” a Tagalog word she used to refer to nourishing foods; supplements to help fill nutritional gaps; social connection; brain stimulation; screening through regular checkups; smiling; and spirituality or trust as part of emotional wellbeing.

Annie Strode emphasized screening as one of the “S’s of Healthy Aging,” noting that regular checkups provide a baseline and help identify small changes before they become larger health concerns.

Annie also discussed muscle loss, circulation, gut health, cellular repair, and the role of protein and resistance training. She encouraged attendees to listen to their bodies, understand their own health issues and goals, and make changes patiently rather than expecting instant results.

During the question-and-answer session, audience members asked about resistance training, individualized wellness consultations, daily water intake, probiotics, alcohol, and faith-based perspectives on health. Annie responded by stressing personal responsibility, moderation, openness to consultation, and the importance of matching health choices to individual needs.

She closed by suggesting attendees to write down their current health concerns and desired outcomes, research foods and herbs that may support those goals, and commit to daily habits that promote long-term vitality. Her overall message was that aging gracefully requires attention to the whole person: body, mind, community, and spirit.
