BANGKOK, Thailand – The Equitable Education Fund (EEF) Thailand, in collaboration with the Office of the Education Council (OEC) and network partners, recently hosted the Thailand International Conference on Education Research (ThaiCER) 2026 in Bangkok, providing a platform for research and policy discussions on the future of education.
Held under the theme “Resilient Future: Building Adaptive, Equitable, and Sustainable Education,” the conference gathered researchers, education experts, and policymakers from Thailand and overseas to examine how education systems can respond to global uncertainty, social and economic changes, and persistent inequalities in access to learning.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Yodchanan Wongsawat and Education Minister Prasert Chandraruangthong attended the conference alongside representatives from education agencies and research networks. The conference also saw the official launch of the Thailand Education Research Association (THERA) following its admission to the World Education Research Association (WERA). THERA will serve as a multidisciplinary national platform connecting researchers and education networks, supporting the use of academic evidence in policy development, and expanding opportunities for educators and young people across Thailand.
