BANGKOK, Thailand – Police have stepped up security outside Saint Gabriel School following the circulation of a video showing students involved in a violent altercation outside the school, amid heightened public concern after a separate high-profile incident at Debsirin Nonthaburi School.
Officers were deployed outside the school’s main entrance on Monday morning to maintain order and strengthen preventive measures aimed at protecting students and teachers. The increased police presence comes after the student fight video prompted widespread concern and led the school to issue two public statements addressing the incident.
Police said the measures are intended to increase vigilance and reduce potential risks to the safety and welfare of students and school staff. Despite the heightened security presence, no metal detectors or weapons screening equipment had been installed at the school’s entrances as of Monday morning.
