PATTAYA, Thailand – A homeowner was left seriously shaken after a roughly one-meter-long snake was discovered hiding behind a wardrobe inside a house in Soi Thepprasit 3 early Sunday morning.
At around 6:12 a.m. on August 9, Pattaya City Fire Station’s Jomtien unit dispatched an inspection pickup and wildlife response officers to the home after receiving a report of a reptile inside the property. Officers searched the room and surrounding areas before locating the snake concealed behind a wardrobe. The team safely captured the approximately one-meter-long reptile and removed it from the house.
The homeowner was reportedly shocked and nearly fainted when the snake was discovered, later thanking the officers for their quick response. Officials also checked around the room and the rest of the property to make sure no other snakes were hiding nearby. Authorities reminded residents not to approach or attempt to catch snakes or other wild animals themselves, since frightened animals can react unpredictably and attempts to handle them can result in injury.
