Sedan crashes through Kanchanaburi child center wall, injuring 10 children

A sedan crashed into Ban Nong Song Ton Child Development Center in Kanchanaburi, injuring 10 children. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

KANCHANABURI, Thailand – Officials have reported that at least 10 young children were injured after a sedan crashed through a wall and into the Ban Nong Song Ton Child Development Center in Kanchanaburi province in the afternoon (Aug. 7). Initial assessments found that none suffered serious injuries, and those with minor injuries were taken to a hospital for further examination and treatment.

Mueang Kanchanaburi police responded to the center in Kaeng Sian subdistrict, along with emergency medical and rescue teams. The driver of the black sedan was later taken into custody for questioning. Police are investigating the cause of the crash by examining the vehicle, evidence at the scene, and surrounding conditions, as well as interviewing the driver and witnesses. Further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation. (NNT)
