Police found the suspect’s grandparents dead inside their home, where investigators believe the teenager took his grandfather’s legally owned handgun before the school shooting.

NONTHABURI, Thailand – Police searched the residence of a 14-year-old school shooting suspect in Nonthaburi province on Wednesday after finding his grandparents dead inside, authorities said.

Inside the home, police found the body of the suspect’s grandfather, in the kitchen. The body of his grandmother was located on the second floor. Following the incident, the teenager locked the house doors and left an ammunition box on a bed.

The handgun used belonged legally to the grandfather, a former bank manager. Relatives stated the suspect lived with his grandparents following his parents’ separation two years ago, spent much of his time playing video games, and kept to himself. Senior officers, including Deputy National Police Chiefs Gen. Samran Nualma inspected the school, where emergency teams cleared buildings for remaining individuals. Police have brought the suspect’s parents in for questioning as the investigation continues. (TNA)
