CHONBURI, Thailand – The Chonburi Provincial Police have issued a statement responding to rumors circulating on social media and in some media outlets concerning two separate murder cases in the Bang Lamung district of Chonburi province, Thailand: the brutal killing of two Russian siblings, and the murder of a family of three, both of which occurred in the nearby area. According to investigation results, four suspects are connected to both cases. Rumors alleged that these suspects are children of police officers, have close ties to law enforcement, or were hired to carry out the killings on behalf of officials.
Following a thorough review of registration databases, investigative records, and other relevant evidence, police confirmed there is no factual basis for these claims. They found no connection between the suspects and law enforcement, and no evidence that the suspects received support or orders from officials, or acted on anyone’s behalf. Police reaffirmed that the investigation is being conducted strictly based on evidence and the rule of law, without favoritism or protection for any party involved. They said the investigation will continue to expand, with legal action to be taken against all those found responsible.
