PATTAYA, Thailand – Police have intensified the search for two missing Russian siblings by deploying specialist police dogs to help locate new evidence in the ongoing investigation. At 10 a.m. on July 30, Maj. Gen. Kiatisak Srathongoi, Commander of the Investigation Division of Provincial Police Region 2, led officers and local administrative officials in planning a coordinated search operation at Khao Chi Chan before dispatching search teams into targeted areas. The operation aims to locate Diana Nazimova, 22, and Roman Nazimov, 17, who have been missing since the early hours of July 26 after losing contact with family.
Police K9s Yaya and Hunter were brought in to assist investigators. Before the search began, officers provided the dogs with clothing belonging to the missing siblings so they could identify their scent.
Search teams were deployed to several locations in Na Jomtien, Sattahip district, and Huay Yai, Banglamung district, focusing on areas identified through investigative analysis and behavioral profiling. Officers searched ponds, abandoned buildings, and other locations considered relevant to the case.
Investigators also addressed reports that the siblings may have travelled to Chanthaburi province, saying officers had already checked the lead but had found no evidence confirming they had left the Chonburi area. Authorities said the investigation remains active, with officers continuing to examine evidence, review CCTV footage, and conduct detailed ground searches in an effort to locate the missing siblings and determine what happened.
