Search underway for missing Thai travel creator Hlun Solo in Georgia

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jaithai Upakarnitikaset says Thai officials are working with Georgian authorities to locate missing travel creator Bowornthat “Hlun Solo” Pengsuk.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with local authorities and Thai volunteer networks to locate Bowornthat Pengsuk, also known as the travel content creator “Hlun Solo,” who has been missing in Georgia for about two weeks. ​On July 29, Director-General of the Department of Information and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Jaithai Upakarnitikaset stated that the Royal Thai Embassy in Ankara, which manages diplomatic relations with Georgia, is coordinating with the Department of Consular Affairs to determine his whereabouts after Bowornthat lost contact with his family while filming content in Georgia.



The embassy is coordinating with Georgian law enforcement, the Thai Honorary Consul-Designate to Georgia, and the local Thai community network. ​Officials remain in regular contact with Bowornthat’s family. The Ministry assured the public that Georgian authorities are making every effort to locate him and will provide immediate updates as new information becomes available. (NNT)
