BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presented the Thailand Zero Dropout Plus (TZD+) Awards 2026 on July 24, recognizing organizations and individuals helping children stay in or return to the education system. Addressing the event, held at Government House, Anutin said cooperation among government agencies, schools, the private sector, and local communities has reduced the number of out-of-school children from over 1 million to about 600,000. He credited former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin with launching the original Zero Dropout policy and noted that the TZD+ program goes further by equipping students with practical skills and career preparation.
Thirteen awards were presented across five categories. Cabinet members, Srettha, Police General Permpoon Chidchob, and representatives from government agencies, private organizations, and the media attended the ceremony. Anutin urged provincial governors and partners to continue identifying at-risk children, connecting them with education and social services, and providing ongoing support to keep them in school.
