PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Tourist Police are extending a helping hand to visitors returning from Koh Larn, assisting tourists as they disembark at Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya and helping reduce accident risks during the busy island transfer. On July 11, officers provided assistance as passengers arrived at Bali Hai Pier from Koh Larn, guiding visitors safely between the boats and the pier platform. Their support helped make the final step of the island journey smoother and safer after a day of travel at sea.
The assistance is particularly important because boat decks and pier platforms are not always at the same height, requiring passengers to carefully step across changing levels. With waves and boat movement causing boats to rock during docking, officers helped stabilize the transfer process, especially for children, elderly visitors and passengers needing extra assistance. Authorities also reminded tourists traveling between Pattaya and Koh Larn to wear life jackets at all times while on board. Wearing a life vest is a simple but important safety measure, especially during rough sea conditions, unexpected incidents or when traveling with children and elderly passengers.
Bali Hai Pier is the main gateway connecting Pattaya and Koh Larn, welcoming thousands of tourists traveling between the mainland and the island. The continued presence of Pattaya Tourist Police helps strengthen visitor confidence and supports safer tourism experiences in the city. Tourists needing emergency assistance can contact the Tourist Police hotline at 1155 or use the Thailand Tourist Police Application (TPB APP) and POLICE CARE Application for support.
