BANGKOK, Thailand – ThaiMart, a new Thai-developed marketplace platform, has received strong early support from users, with its founder saying the response reflects growing demand for locally built digital platforms that support Thai entrepreneurs. Founder Nott Panthawat Nakwisut said the platform’s rapid rise during its first two days was not simply about download numbers or reaching the No. 1 position on app stores, but a sign that Thai consumers want locally developed platforms to have a stronger role in the digital economy. “This is not a victory for ThaiMart alone, but a signal that Thai people want to see Thai platforms have a place,” Nott said.
He said ThaiMart was created not just as another marketplace, but as a “first home for Thai entrepreneurs” — a platform designed to provide clear rules, fairness and opportunities for sellers to build their own businesses. ThaiMart’s next goal is reaching one million downloads, while encouraging users, entrepreneurs and supporters of Thai digital innovation to help develop the platform into an important part of Thailand’s digital economy infrastructure.
The company said its vision is to show that Thai people can build their own digital platforms and that Thai entrepreneurs should have the opportunity to shape their own future in the online economy.
ThaiMart is now available for download on both the App Store and Google Play under the concept “The First Home for Thai Entrepreneurs.”
