Thailand motorists receive fuel price relief as diesel and gasoline prices fall from July 8 following the latest Oil Fuel Fund adjustment.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Drivers across Thailand are set to benefit from lower fuel prices after the Oil Fuel Fund Executive Committee (OFFO) approved reductions for diesel and gasoline products, effective from 5:00 AM on July 8. The committee approved a price reduction of 2.56 baht per litre for diesel fuels and 2.51 baht per litre for all gasoline-based fuels, following lower global crude oil costs.

The new retail prices, excluding local maintenance tax, are:

  • Gasoline: 43.93 baht per litre
  • Gasohol 95: 34.94 baht per litre
  • Gasohol 91: 34.57 baht per litre
  • E20: 29.94 baht per litre
  • Diesel B7: 34.94 baht per litre

The adjustment is expected to provide some relief for motorists and businesses by reducing transportation costs, while supporting efforts to reflect changes in fuel market conditions. The price reductions came after Energy Minister Akanat Promphan instructed relevant agencies to urgently review measures to lower domestic fuel prices following a decline in global crude oil costs.

The Oil Fuel Fund Executive Committee said the latest adjustment aims to ensure domestic fuel prices better reflect current cost conditions and deliver benefits to consumers as quickly as possible.
