New health caravan brings services to Amnat Charoen

Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suksomrauy Wantaneeyakul leads the launch of the “Health Caravan” initiative in Amnat Charoen, aiming to strengthen community healthcare services and improve access to medical care across the province.

AMNAT CHAROEN, Thailand – Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Suksomrauy Wantaneeyakul visited Amnat Charoen province to deliver government policies aimed at enhancing public health services. ​The Minister chaired a meeting at Patum Rachawongsa Hospital to launch the “Health Caravan: Uniting Amnat Charoen for Health and Strong Communities” initiative. Attendees included Amnat Charoen Governor Senee Somkeavwan, public health executives, medical staff, village health volunteers, and local residents.



​During the session, Amnat Charoen Hospital Director Dr. Surapong Saenphot presented the AMNATCHAROEN MOVE development plan. The Provincial Public Health Medical Office also outlined a plan to install solar cell systems in all healthcare facilities. This green energy initiative supports the “One Region, One Province, One Hospital” policy, ensuring residents have equitable access to standardized care, including health promotion, disease prevention, medical treatment, and rehabilitation. ​After the policy briefing, the Minister reviewed the hospital’s specialized medical services, including screenings for liver and bile duct cancer, echocardiograms, and pterygium surgeries. The delegation then visited Ban Na Phang Elderly School in Pathum Ratchawongsa district to assess the outcomes of community health promotion programs for senior citizens. (NNT)
