
PATTAYA, Thailand – Eligible voters in Bangkok and Pattaya whose national identification cards have expired, been damaged, lost, or require replacement will be able to obtain new ID cards through special weekend services ahead of local elections on June 28. The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) announced on June 26 that additional ID card issuance services will be available to help ensure that residents are able to exercise their voting rights in the elections for the Bangkok Governor, Bangkok Metropolitan Council members, Pattaya Mayor, and Pattaya City Council members.
In Bangkok, all 50 district offices will provide ID card services on Saturday, June 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as normal. On Sunday, June 28, which is Election Day, the district offices will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In addition, 19 Bangkok Express Service centers across the capital will also be open on Election Day, although operating hours may vary by location. Residents can obtain further information by calling the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration hotline at 1555, available 24 hours a day.
In Pattaya, ID card services will be available at Pattaya City Hall on both Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents seeking additional information can contact Pattaya City Hall at 038-253-100. The Election Commission is encouraging all eligible voters to cast their ballots on Sunday, June 28, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at their designated polling stations, helping to ensure a free, fair, transparent, and democratic election process.
