Excitement filled the air as diners packed The Oasis Restaurant at Thai Garden Resort, eager to enjoy the new all-you-can-eat à la carte dining experience featuring freshly prepared dishes, live music, and relaxed garden-side dining.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Last Saturday, I was invited to experience the new All-You-Can-Eat À La Carte Dining Experience at The Oasis Restaurant, Thai Garden Resort Pattaya, and I must say it was a refreshing and highly enjoyable alternative to the traditional buffet. For many years, the resort’s Saturday buffet has been a popular institution among Pattaya residents and visitors, but this new concept elevates the experience by combining unlimited dining with full table service and freshly prepared dishes.

Our group consisted of six diners, which proved ideal because we were able to sample virtually the entire menu. Everyone ordered different dishes, and after tasting one another’s selections, many of us went back for second helpings of items we had not tried the first time around.

We began with an impressive selection of appetizers. The Prawn and Mango Salad was wonderfully refreshing, while the Norwegian Smoked Salmon was beautifully presented with its traditional accompaniments. The Homemade Farmer Pâté with Cranberry offered rich flavours, and the Sushi Maki Rolls with Wasabi and Soy Sauce disappeared from the table almost immediately.

A tempting selection of appetizers, soups, main courses, and desserts showcased the full range of dishes available during Thai Garden Resort’s all-you-can-eat à la carte dining experience, all freshly prepared to order and served directly to guests’ tables.

For soup, I sampled both the German Green Pea Soup with Puff Stick and the Lobster Bisque with Pernod Cream. The pea soup was hearty and comforting, while the bisque was rich, velvety and packed with seafood flavour.

The main courses were equally impressive. Around the table we shared opinions on the Spaghetti Pesto & Prawn, Pan-Seared Red Snapper with Saffron Cream and Sautéed Spinach, Australian Beef Rib Eye Madagascar with Mashed Potatoes, Salmon Teriyaki with Seasonal Vegetables, Chu-Chee Prawn with Herbal Rice, and Kurobuta Pork Striploin with Massaman Curry.

Each dish arrived freshly cooked and attractively plated. The rib eye was cooked exactly as requested, the red snapper was delicate and moist, and the Massaman curry was rich and aromatic. Several dishes were reordered for second rounds, always a good sign.

Desserts provided a fitting finale. The Apple Crumble with Vanilla Sauce was comforting and delicious, the Classic New York Cheesecake with Blueberry was creamy and indulgent, and the French Crème Brûlée featured a perfectly caramelised topping. For those seeking a lighter finish, the Tropical Fresh Fruit was equally satisfying.

Two welcoming hostesses at the ItalThai wine corner stand ready to assist guests in selecting from a range of exquisite wines, specially offered at promotional prices to complement the all-you-can-eat à la carte dining experience.

An additional attraction was a wine table presented by ItalThai, offering a range of quality wines at special prices from 990 to 1,490 baht. This proved popular among diners and complemented the relaxed atmosphere perfectly.

Adding to the ambience was live music performed by Coco Zhu and Jericho, whose easy-listening repertoire blended seamlessly with the tropical garden setting. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and live entertainment created an atmosphere that encouraged guests to linger and enjoy the evening.

What impressed me most was the service. Unlike a buffet, there are no queues, no rushing, and no balancing plates. Everything is prepared fresh by the kitchen under the direction of Executive Chef Thianchai Lorlertsakun and delivered directly to the table. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the evening.

At 690 baht per adult and 350 baht for children, the experience represents excellent value for money considering the quality of the ingredients, the freshly prepared dishes, the table service, and the entertainment.

For anyone looking for a relaxed Saturday evening with family, friends, or a special someone, this new dining concept is well worth trying. Our entire group left impressed, satisfied, and already discussing what we would order on our next visit.

Musicians Coco Zhu and Jericho provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening, delighting diners with a versatile repertoire ranging from popular hits and timeless ballads to classical opera selections, beautifully complementing the relaxed garden atmosphere at The Oasis Restaurant.

Highly recommended.
