BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will make an official visit to Vietnam and attend the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) in Hanoi from June 8 to 9, 2026, to advance bilateral cooperation and regional engagement. Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhanadirek stated that the Prime Minister will lead a high-level Thai delegation, including cabinet ministers, senior officials, military leaders, and representatives from major Thai companies operating in Vietnam.
This visit follows the official visit to Thailand by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Vietnamese President To Lam on May 28, 2026, and marks Prime Minister Anutin’s first official visit to Vietnam since taking office. During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with Vietnam’s President, Prime Minister, and National Assembly Chairman, and meet with Thai business leaders in Vietnam to promote closer government-business cooperation.
On June 9, 2026, Prime Minister Anutin will participate in the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum, themed “Shaping Our Future Together: Peace, Prosperity, People-Centered.” The forum will bring together regional leaders, policymakers, business representatives, academics, and other stakeholders to discuss ASEAN’s future development and responses to regional and global challenges. The Prime Minister will also attend the Thailand–Vietnam Investment and Business Forum, organized by the Board of Investment (BOI), before returning to Thailand. (NNT)
