BANGKOK, Thailand – The Bureau of the Royal Household has issued Announcement No. 7, providing an update on the condition of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita.
Previous statements confirmed that Her Royal Highness lost consciousness due to a cardiac condition and has been receiving treatment at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital under the Thai Red Cross Society since 15 December 2022. Her Royal Highness has also experienced intermittent complications from infections during this period. The latest report from the medical team states that, since April 2026, an infection in the abdomen has developed due to colon inflammation. This has led to instability in Her Royal Highness’s condition, including low blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, and abnormalities in blood clotting.
Despite ongoing life support for the lungs and kidneys, along with the use of multiple antibiotics and medications to support blood pressure and regulate heart rhythm, Her Royal Highness’s condition has worsened. The infection remains severe and uncontrolled, affecting several vital organs, while the medical team continues to provide treatment and closely monitor Her Royal Highness’s condition. The Bureau of the Royal Household has issued this announcement to keep the public informed of further developments. (NNT)
