BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakulis scheduled to visit Koh Phangan in Surat Thani province on May 13 to closely monitor issues regarding foreign nationals operating businesses through Thai nominees.

This visit follows his inspection in Phuket on May 10, where he emphasized the need to address influential figures, public land encroachment, and the protection of citizens’ right to work safely.

The Prime Minister stressed that the government will not allow the use of nominees or legal loopholes to become a threat to the public or national economic security.

He noted that these issues are particularly critical in major tourist destinations, which hold high economic value and significantly impact the broader income of the local population. (TNA)
