
BANGKOK, Thailand – The final group of Thai Hajj pilgrims in the early flight phase has arrived safely in Medina, Saudi Arabia. Ms. Nichawee Sama-un, Deputy Head of the Thai Hajj Affairs Office, announced that the initial flight schedule from Hat Yai International Airport ended on April 23, 2026.
The last two early flights, Saudia Airlines SV3647 and SV3645, transported 714 pilgrims from Songkhla to Medina. The Thai Hajj Affairs Office and the Thai Hajj Medical Office welcomed the pilgrims and conducted health screenings on arrival.
Currently, 4,341 Thai pilgrims are in Medina. About 2,000 pilgrims are scheduled to travel during the second phase, from May 18 to 23, 2026.
The Thai pilgrims will stay in Medina for about 8 to 9 days to perform religious activities and visit important historical sites. They will then travel to Mecca to begin the Hajj pilgrimage rites. (NNT)
