Mayor Poramet Ngampichet leads officials in Pattaya in signing a “No Gift Policy” pledge aimed at strengthening transparency and preventing corruption.

PATTAYA, ThailandMayor Poramet Ngampichet led senior officials and department heads in Pattaya in formally declaring a “No Gift Policy” during a government meeting on April 22.

The declaration took place before the city’s second executive and department heads meeting of 2026 at Pattaya City Hall, where officials pledged not to accept or give gifts of any kind before, during or after carrying out their duties.



City leaders said the policy is intended to strengthen transparency, prevent corruption and build greater public trust in local government.

Officials also signed a formal declaration committing to the policy and encouraging all sectors to support a more transparent and accountable working culture focused on the public interest.

During the meeting, city officials also reviewed progress on several major projects, including the operation of a waste incinerator system on Koh Larn aimed at improving garbage management and reducing environmental impact.


Authorities also discussed efforts to repair damaged public exercise equipment across Pattaya to ensure safer and better-quality facilities for residents.

City Hall said Pattaya remains committed to improving governance, infrastructure and public services while promoting transparency, quality of life and long-term environmental sustainability.
