Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaichanok Chidchob announced a new “Thais Help Thais” project using Thailand Post to distribute essential goods at reduced prices through post offices, mobile vendors, and online platforms nationwide.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The government is preparing to launch the “Thais Help Thais” project, a nationwide effort to distribute low-cost consumer goods through a partnership between Thailand Post and the Ministry of Commerce.

Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaichanok Chidchob said Thailand Post will serve as the main distribution channel, delivering essential goods at reduced prices nationwide. Products will be sold directly at post offices and supplied in bulk to mobile vendors, who will distribute items within local communities.

The program will cover about 10 categories of essential goods, with distribution expected to reach around 3,800 mobile vendor trucks and support the establishment of about 1,000 local markets. The initial phase is set to begin in early May at about 120 post office locations in Bangkok and other regions, with expansion planned nationwide.

OTOP and SME products will also be promoted through the ThailandPostMart platform and integrated with major e-commerce channels. Additional support measures include shipping discounts and fee waivers, as well as fruit distribution programs. (NNT)
