Nepali film ‘Hijo Aja Ka Kura’ opens TK Park 2026 World Film Series in Bangkok

The Contemporary World Film Series at TK Park in Bangkok will kick off its 2026 program with the Nepali comedy-drama “Hijo Aja Ka Kura” on May 9 at CentralWorld. The free screening, supported by the Embassy of Nepal, will be followed by a reception and an introduction by Nepal’s ambassador.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Contemporary World Film Series at TK Park in Bangkok is launching its 2026 program with the Nepali film “Hijo Aja Ka Kura” (“The Big Conversation”), directed by Sakar Pant.

The screening is scheduled for May 9 at 4 p.m. at TK Park, located on the 8th floor of CentralWorld, Dazzle Zone, on Ratchadamri Road. The event is open to the public at no cost, with support from the Embassy of Nepal, which will also host a reception following the screening. Nepal’s ambassador to Thailand is expected to introduce the film.



The film is a comedy-drama featuring an ensemble cast of leading Nepali actors and is produced by Pant Productions, led by veteran actor and director Santosh Pant. The story, adapted from a long-running television series, follows four families as they navigate domestic challenges, including issues related to migration, relationships, and family life, presented through humor and lively storytelling.
