PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya and much of eastern Thailand can expect hot daytime conditions with a slight chance of thunderstorms, according to the latest forecast from the Thai Meteorological Department.

Temperatures across the region are expected to remain high during the day, with heat building under a low-pressure system covering much of the country. While most areas will remain dry, isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds may develop in some locations, particularly during the late afternoon or evening.

Residents and visitors in Pattaya are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the midday sun, as temperatures could climb into the mid-30s Celsius. Sudden downpours and brief strong winds may also occur, which can affect outdoor activities along the beach and coastal roads.

Conditions over the Gulf of Thailand remain relatively calm, with waves averaging around one meter, although they may become higher in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Boat operators and those heading to nearby islands are advised to monitor weather updates and avoid stormy areas.

Across Thailand’s upper regions, including the north and northeast, hot to extremely hot weather is expected in some areas, with scattered storms triggered by heat-driven atmospheric conditions.

For Pattaya, the coming days are likely to bring the familiar mix of sunshine, heat, and occasional brief storms, typical of the period leading toward the rainy season.
