PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City officials have launched a mobile service initiative to help bedridden patients, people with disabilities, and elderly residents obtain or renew their national ID cards without leaving their homes.
The outreach program was led by Police Major Jirawat Sukonthasap, Director of the Administration Division of Pattaya City, together with staff from the city’s Registration and Identification Card Office. They were joined by Jirawat Plukjai, a Pattaya City Council member, and officials from the Regional Civil Registration Center 2 in Chonburi.
Under the mobile registration unit project, officials traveled directly to homes within the Pattaya area to provide identification card services for residents who face difficulties traveling to government offices.
City officials said the initiative follows the policy of the Pattaya Mayor, which emphasizes ensuring that all residents have access to essential government services, particularly those with mobility limitations.
The project aims to guarantee that citizens continue to receive their basic rights and administrative services equally, even if they are unable to leave their homes.
Authorities said Pattaya City remains committed to reaching vulnerable residents and ensuring that public services are accessible to everyone in the community.
