PATTAYA, Thailand – A big bike rider was killed in a late-night motorcycle collision near a railway crossing in Pattaya, after reportedly crashing at high speed into another motorcycle.

Rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon were alerted to the accident at around 10:00 p.m. on March 11 along the railway-side road behind Wat Tham Samakkhi, heading toward Huai Yai in Nongprue sub-district.

Upon arrival, rescuers found two injured riders.

The first victim, identified as 32-year-old Suthathip Chantham, sustained minor injuries including abrasions. She was riding a white Honda motorcycle with Chonburi registration.

The second rider, Pornpaisri Harnchan, who was operating a black Yamaha big bike, suffered severe injuries. Rescue workers attempted emergency CPR at the scene, but she was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The big bike was found with its front section heavily damaged.



According to Suthathip, she was riding to pick up her older sister and had reached an intersection near the railway crossing when the big bike, traveling at high speed, slammed into the middle of her motorcycle. The impact reportedly threw the big bike rider into a roadside barrier, causing fatal injuries.

Police documented the scene and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage while questioning witnesses to determine the exact cause of the crash.
