Tourist Police officers patrol along Walking Street Pattaya, where they intervened in an assault involving a foreign tourist and detained three suspects during routine safety checks in the busy nightlife area.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Officers from the Tourist Police Bureau intervened in an assault involving a foreign tourist on Walking Street Pattaya on March 5, quickly detaining three suspects accused of attacking the visitor.

The incident occurred while Tourist Police officers were conducting routine foot patrols along the busy nightlife area under the supervision of Pol. Lt. Col. Prapda Suksuntree, superintendent of Tourist Police Station 4, Division 2, Bureau 1.

During the patrol, officers encountered a situation in which a foreign tourist was allegedly being assaulted by a group of three individuals. Police immediately stepped in to stop the attack, preventing the situation from escalating further and ensuring the safety of the victim.

Authorities confirmed that one foreign tourist was injured in the incident, while the three suspected attackers were taken into custody at the scene.



Preliminary charges have been filed against the suspects for jointly causing physical harm to another person, an offense under the Thai Criminal Code. The three individuals were subsequently handed over to investigators at Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Tourist Police say they continue to increase patrols in major nightlife zones to ensure the safety of visitors in Pattaya’s busy entertainment districts.
