BANGKOK, Thailand – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration invites the public to attend Bangkok Design Week 2026, held under the theme DESIGN S/O/S. This theme highlights design as a practical tool and creative force that helps society “do, enable, and survive” together.
The festival opens public spaces for individuals from all sectors to present ideas and projects that will shape Bangkok’s future. This year’s theme emphasizes design’s role in supporting business growth, fostering inclusivity, and advancing sustainability. The program encourages participants to think creatively, test solutions for community challenges, and turn experimental concepts into practical applications.
Bangkok Design Week 2026 features interactive workshops to inspire creativity and new perspectives. Activities include product design sessions on form reduction and visual balance, disaster preparedness workshops using design thinking and strategic foresight, a cooperative board game on urban recovery and biodiversity conservation, and craft activities that support women in expressing personal transformation through embroidery and knitting.
The festival will run from January 29 to February 8, 2026, across several locations, including Charoen Krung–Talat Noi, Phra Nakhon, Pak Khlong Talat, and Bang Lamphu–Khao San Road.
