BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Commerce is enhancing the competitiveness of Thai SMEs by expanding their access to online markets. This effort includes advancing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Intellectual Property and LINE Company (Thailand) to promote the commercial use of intellectual property and strengthen measures against IP-infringing goods on digital platforms.
On December 19, 2025, Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun and Norasit Sitivechvichit, CEO of LINE Company (Thailand), witnessed the signing of the “DIP x LINE” MoU between the Department of Intellectual Property and LINE Company (Thailand) at LINE Thailand’s headquarters in Gaysorn Tower, Bangkok.
This cooperation aims to raise awareness and promote the effective commercial use of intellectual property, while strengthening online IP protection. The partnership unites the public and private sectors to help Thai entrepreneurs operate more effectively on digital platforms, in response to evolving consumer behavior and the digital economy.
The initiative also strengthens enforcement to prevent and address the sale of counterfeit and infringing products online, supporting fair trade and sustainable growth for Thai businesses in the digital marketplace. (NNT)
