PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya and surrounding areas are experiencing cooler mornings as a high-pressure system and upper-level northwesterly winds continue to cover much of Thailand, according to the Meteorological Department’s latest 24-hour forecast.
In Pattaya and the eastern region, residents and visitors can expect noticeably cooler conditions in the early morning, with temperatures ranging from 18–22°C, before warming to daytime highs of around 33–34°C. Light winds from the northeast will prevail at speeds of 15–30 km/h, while sea conditions remain relatively calm, with waves averaging about one metre.
The cooler weather is part of a broader pattern affecting upper Thailand, where the North and Northeast are seeing cold to very cold conditions, especially in mountainous areas. While Pattaya will not experience cold weather, the crisp mornings offer a brief seasonal relief from the usual heat.
In the South, rainfall has decreased as the northeast monsoon weakens, though isolated thunderstorms remain possible in the far southern provinces. The lower Gulf of Thailand may see waves of 1–2 metres, rising higher in areas affected by storms, prompting small boats to proceed with caution.
The Meteorological Department also noted moderate accumulation of dust and haze across upper Thailand due to limited air circulation, though no severe air quality warnings have been issued for the Pattaya area.
Authorities advise residents, tourists, and marine operators in Pattaya to remain mindful of changing weather conditions, particularly early-morning temperature changes and offshore wind conditions, while enjoying generally favorable weather for travel and tourism.
