Severe flooding forces major southern line train suspensions and route changes

Passengers at a Southern Line station in Thailand face disruptions as floodwaters force the State Railway of Thailand to suspend 22 services and adjust routes for 8 trains across multiple southern provinces.

PATTAYA, Thailand – The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced major service disruptions on the Southern Line due to severe flooding caused by continuous heavy rainfall. Rising floodwaters have inundated tracks and stations across Songkhla, Surat Thani, Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Phatthalung, Satun, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.

To ensure passenger safety, SRT will continue adjusting routes for 8 local train services and suspending 22 long-distance and local services from 25 November 2025 onwards until conditions improve.



  1. Route Adjustments (8 services)

– Express 83/84 (Krungthep Aphiwat – Trang – Krungthep Aphiwat) → Adjusted to (Krungthep Aphiwat – Thung Song – Krungthep Aphiwat)

– Rapid 167/168 (Krungthep Aphiwat – Kantang – Krungthep Aphiwat) → Adjusted to (Krungthep Aphiwat – Thung Song – Krungthep Aphiwat)

– Local 447/448 (Surat Thani – Su-ngai Kolok – Surat Thani) → Adjusted to (Surat Thani – Thung Song – Surat Thani)

– Local 445/446 (Chumphon – Hat Yai Junction – Chumphon) → Adjusted to (Chumphon – Thung Song – Chumphon)
