BANGKOK, Thailand – The Royal Thai Air Force has received 4,000 ready-to-eat meal sets and essential supplies from the Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation and the Thai Red Cross Society for distribution to residents affected by severe flooding in Songkhla province. The items were handed over on November 24 at 601 Squadron, Wing 6, with senior Air Force representatives, led by Commander-in-Chief Air Chief Marshal Sakesan Kantha, in attendance.

All supplies were transported by C-130 aircraft to support communities impacted by rising water levels. The shipment included 200 royal relief kits, cartons of heated meal packs, more than 1,300 cartons of ready-to-eat meals, volunteer shirts, food-preparation gloves, portable paper toilets, food containers, and additional Air Force relief kits prepared for immediate distribution.

Relief efforts began earlier in the week when the Air Force delivered another 1,500 relief kits donated by Siam Commercial Bank, ramping up assistance efforts in areas still dealing with widespread flooding and prolonged disruptions.

Air Force officials reported that units remain prepared to transport supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring continued support for residents throughout Southern Thailand as conditions evolve. (NNT)
