Prime Minister Anutin to visit Kuala Lumpur ahead of planned meeting with President Trump and Thailand-Cambodia peace signing.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his delegates are scheduled to be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Sunday, where they will participate in ASEAN meetings and related events, including the ASEAN Prize ceremony and the official induction of Timor-Leste as a new ASEAN member.

The Prime Minister is also expected to take part in the signing of the “Joint Declaration by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand” on border management, aimed at fostering peace and stability between the two countries.


In addition, Prime Minister Anutin is expected to meet U.S. President Donald J. Trump to discuss cooperation on economic issues, regional security, and sustainable development. Thailand has requested to move the signing ceremony to the morning of October 26 to accommodate the international schedule.

After completing the summit and bilateral meetings, the Prime Minister and his delegates are expected to return to Thailand on the same day.
