PATTAYA, Thailand – While Thailand’s North and upper Northeast brace for heavy rain, Pattaya is enjoying a welcome shift toward cooler, sunnier weather. According to the Meteorological Department, provinces such as Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, and Sakon Nakhon are expected to see heavy downpours, while Bangkok and surrounding areas face scattered thunderstorms covering about 60% of the area.
In contrast, Pattaya and much of the Eastern region are seeing rain ease off, giving way to warmer sunshine and pleasant sea breezes. The weather remains ideal for beachgoers and outdoor activities, with daytime temperatures hovering around 32–33°C and mild evenings around 26°C.
Officials note that the southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand has strengthened slightly, but it is bringing only light, short-lived showers to coastal Chonburi. Mariners are still advised to use caution, as waves in the upper Andaman may reach 2 meters in stormy areas.
As the remnants of tropical depression Matmo weaken over northern Vietnam, Pattaya’s weather outlook remains bright — signaling the gradual arrival of the cool season and a perfect opportunity to enjoy the city’s beachside atmosphere.
