Anutin visits Thai–Cambodian border, reaffirms no territory will be yielded

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited Buriram’s Ban Kruat District to thank border residents and soldiers for their cooperation during recent tensions, promising swift compensation and urging participation in the government’s Half-Half Co-Payment program to boost local economies.

BURIRAM, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul led a delegation to Ban Kruat District, Buriram Province, to visit border communities along the Thai–Cambodian frontier.

During the visit, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to residents who cooperated with authorities by relocating to temporary evacuation centers during recent periods of heightened tension, allowing military officers to carry out their duties effectively.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s unwavering stance that Thailand will not yield even an inch of its territory, while remaining committed to safeguarding the well-being of citizens living in border areas. He announced that compensation payments from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the Ministry of Finance will be transferred to all affected households next week.


Anutin also encouraged the public to join the government’s “Khon La Khrueng” (Half-Half Co-Payment) program. He noted that the scheme is part of the broader effort to revitalize local markets and support small-scale businesses.

The Prime Minister and his team also visited the Chong Sai Taku Operations Base, where they met with border officers to express gratitude and encouragement for their service in protecting national security and the Thai people. (NNT)
