Bryde’s whales spotted off Bang Saen Beach delight tourists and highlight the area’s rich marine life.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Natdanai Mongkhunkong, President of the White Shark Marine Rescue Club in Saen Suk Municipality, Chonburi, reported that Bryde’s whales were spotted off Bang Saen Beach, captivating tourists and drawing increased interest from local fishermen, September 6. The sightings have created new income opportunities, as boats are taking visitors out to observe the whales in their natural habitat.

The presence of the whales indicates good water quality in the area, supporting a healthy population of fish that serve as food for the whales. “Today, our team observed a total of nine whales near Khao Sam Muk, including two calves playing in the water. We advise fishermen to exercise caution with their equipment to avoid harming the whales,” said Natdanai.

Fishermen urged to handle gear carefully to protect Bryde’s whales off Bang Saen Beach.
