‘Ray Run Pattaya’ charity brings hope to children and people with disabilities

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City, in collaboration with the Father Ray Foundation, is set to host the “Ray Run Pattaya,” a charity run aimed at giving new opportunities to children and people with disabilities. The announcement was made at a press conference on 4 September, attended by Deputy Mayor Kritsana Boonsawat, Father Kornkiat Deesri, C.Ss.R., president of the Father Ray Foundation, Pattaya Mail Managing Director, Pratheep Malhotra, and representatives from Inspire Runner, the Lions Clubs International District 310C, the Disabled Sports Association of Thailand, and other partners.



The event will take place on Sunday, 9 November, at Pattaya Central Beach under the theme “Be the Rays of Hope for Children in Need.” Participants can join in various categories, including 5 km, 3 km, 1 km, and a 2.5 km wheelchair race. Registration is open for individuals, duos, children, people with disabilities, and wheelchair users, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.

Pattaya City partners with Father Ray Foundation to host “Ray Run Pattaya,” a charity run supporting children and people with disabilities.

Proceeds from the event, after expenses, will support Father Ray Foundation projects such as Father Ray Children’s Village, Phra Mahathai Early Childhood Development Center, Phra Mahathai School for the Blind, and Redemptorist Technological College in Pattaya. Donors can also use their receipts for tax deductions.


The run will begin early in the morning, with wheelchair participants starting at 5:30 a.m., followed by the 5 km, 3 km, and 1 km races. Award ceremonies will take place from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. The event aims to promote health, inspire participants, and spread hope throughout the community.
