BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister-designate Anutin Charnvirakul has introduced three prospective ministers from outside Parliament, each expected to take on a key role in his incoming cabinet. The announcement was made during a press event at Bhumjaithai Party headquarters today (Sep 6), ahead of the official formation of the new government.
The three nominees are Ekniti Nitithanprapas, proposed as Minister of Finance; Sihasak Phuangketkeow, proposed as Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Auttapol Rerkpiboon, proposed as Minister of Energy. All three have held senior positions in public service or major organizations. Also present was Santi Promphat, Deputy Leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, though his cabinet role has not yet been disclosed.
Anutin stated that cabinet appointments are based on capability, experience, and the ability to lead key ministries effectively, adding that the selected nominees bring strong managerial backgrounds that can help the government deliver results and maintain public trust. He also said the administration will prioritize citizen participation in developing national policies.
The press event took place in a casual setting at a café located within the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters. Anutin and other prospective ministers were seen seated together at a table, engaging in relaxed conversation with the media.
As Anutin prepares to finalize his cabinet following his election as Thailand’s 32nd Prime Minister, formal appointments are expected to proceed pending royal endorsement in the coming days. (NNT)
