Thailand’s “13 Dinos of Siam” exhibition lets visitors explore 13 life-like dinosaur species discovered in the country.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Mineral Resources under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has unveiled a spectacular Thai dinosaur exhibition titled “13 Dinos of Siam: Wonders of Time.” The event allows visitors to experience a journey back to the age of dinosaurs, featuring 13 life-like models of species whose fossils have been discovered in Thailand.



Dr. Phichit Sombatmaka, Director-General of the Department of Mineral Resources, presided over the opening ceremony. The exhibition’s vibrant setting features a parade of moving dinosaur replicas, along with adorable dinosaur mascots, entertaining visitors of all ages.

The “13 Dinos of Siam” exhibition is Thailand’s first to showcase 13 Thai dinosaur species in realistic form, offering educational insights into paleontology, geology, and natural history through engaging, easy-to-understand technology suitable for children and adults alike.

Interactive zones include hatching dinosaur eggs, paleontological digs, and moving dinosaur replicas for an immersive prehistoric experience.

The exhibition is divided into four main zones:

Zone 1: Dinosaur World – Large, movable dinosaur replicas and important real fossils.

Zone 2: 13 Dinos of Siam – Video exhibition offering in-depth knowledge about Thai dinosaurs using modern presentation techniques.


Zone 3: Dino Lab – Awakening the Dinosaurs – Science lab experiences allowing visitors to simulate hatching dinosaur eggs and observe the process from egg to “hatchling,” including interactive experiments.

Zone 4: Explore Dinosaur – Paleontological digging activities enabling children and enthusiasts to uncover secrets from the prehistoric world.


Mr. Somsak Wattanaprida, Director of Fossil Protection, said the exhibition combines education and entertainment while fostering pride in Thailand’s geological heritage and raising conservation awareness among Thai youth.

The exhibition runs from August 14–31, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Department of Mineral Resources, Rama VI Road, Ratchathewi, Bangkok. Admission is free, with special activities and souvenirs available throughout the event. (TNA)
