Shock and splash — Russian fighter Ivan Parshikov jolted mid-celebration in Thai “Weed Boxing” ring but escapes with a new nickname: “Charged.”

BANGKOK, Thailand – Russian MMA fighter Ivan Parshikov, a former ONE Lumpinee contender, narrowly escaped serious injury after being electrocuted while celebrating a victory at the “Weed Boxing Championship” in Thailand — a unique event where fighters are permitted to consume cannabis before bouts.

The shocking moment occurred when Parshikov climbed the ropes and grabbed a metal spotlight pole moments after winning his match, improving his record to 16-5. He was instantly jolted by an electric shock and collapsed, appearing unconscious for a split second before miraculously regaining composure and jumping into a nearby pool to recover. The crowd and referee rushed to his aid, and the fighter later posted a video of his post-fight recovery using a TENS unit on Instagram, assuring fans he was okay.

Nicknamed “Charged” and “Power Bank” by amused fans, Parshikov humorously acknowledged the incident, joking he failed at his planned victory jump into the water. While the bout was not WBC-sanctioned, the unconventional event has drawn international attention — even former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson had once helped promote it.

A punch, a pole, and a pool — Ivan Parshikov recovers from electric shock in the ring with humor and a plunge.
