Thunderstorms are expected in 60% of Bangkok and its vicinity, with isolated downpours also likely in the North, Northeast, Central, East, and West Coast of the South. Residents and tourists alike are advised to remain cautious, especially in low-lying or hillside areas prone to runoff and flash flooding.
Though seas are generally calm — with wave heights around 1 meter in the Andaman Sea and under 1 meter in the Gulf of Thailand — areas with thunderstorm activity could see waves over 2 meters. Boaters and ferry operators are advised to stay alert and avoid navigating during storms.
