PATTAYA, Thailand – In the true spirit of Songkran, the Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard (RCES) led by President Rodney Charman has once again extended a hand of compassion to local communities in need. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and the club’s dedicated members and friends, this year’s outreach has touched the lives of hundreds of children across Pattaya.

Backed by the remarkable sponsorship of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand, Greg Watkins MBE, Gavin Perfect & Friends (ESS Developments), Winston Gale Rivera Group, Staedtler Wax Crayons, and the unwavering support of RCES members and donors, the club was fortunate to have surplus funds available in its local project account – just in time for Songkran.

The club’s mission was simple: to bring care and comfort to those in need during Thailand’s most cherished holiday. Several heartfelt donations were made to local organizations, each chosen for the vital work they do for underprivileged and vulnerable children.

At the Pattaya Orphanage, the club responded to an urgent health crisis. With an outbreak of Flu B and chickenpox affecting many children, RCES donated 100 CICA Testsealabs 3-in-1 test kits to help monitor and contain the illness. They also returned with a delivery of fresh fruit, rice, eggs, and treats to help support those in quarantine.

At the Fountain of Life Children’s Center, two 43-inch 4K Smart LED TVs were delivered and installed, ensuring the children have access to educational and entertaining content. The visit was completed with snacks and gifts to bring smiles all around.

The Father Ray Children’s Village also benefited from the outreach, receiving a brand-new Samsung 13.9 cu-ft refrigerator for the Little Boys House, along with essentials such as fruit, rice, eggs, and treats.

Lastly, at Take Care Kids Foster Home, the Rotary team delivered similar care packages of food and goodies, ensuring that all the children felt remembered and celebrated during the festive season.

At every stop, the children’s heartfelt smiles and warm welcomes reminded the Rotary team of the deep impact even modest support can have.

Club members expressed their gratitude to all who made this mission possible. “Once again, thank you to our sponsors, members, families, and friends,” a spokesperson said. “Because of you, RCES continues to make a difference – one child, one family, one community at a time.”
